Emulator has already invaded all and every aspect of the computing world and this is even truer for NES emulation. People can see NES Emulation in any device that has the power and capability to do this. Since Windows Phone 7 is a recent addition to the smartphone category, it was really only a matter of time before NES Emulation got crammed into the new smartphone.

Thanks to the generous work of Matt Bettcher, NES Emulation has now become possible for the new smartphone in the block. The bad news in all this is that the NES Emulator has been banned from the Windows Phone 7 marketplace due to some terms of service violation. Betcher is already rallying some community support in order for Microsoft to change their minds about the emulator. Despite all this, Betcher is also planning to open source his project in hopes of making it even better than it already is.
Here’s a video of the NES Emulator running on a Windows Phone 7 smartphone:
It’s interesting to note that Apple has already approved the presence of Emulator Apps on their iTunes Store, while Microsoft is still banning this first of a kind NES Emulator from their growing marketplace.
