Netgear has rolled out the latest N900 (WNDR4500) wireless home router with advance features including a 900Mbps speed using the full 450Mbps power of both 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz bands.

While TRENDnet already has a 450Mbps dual-band device, the extras of N900 has added to its uniqueness from among the competitors. It has two USB ports, a DLNA, WPA and WPA2 security protocols, gigabit wired ethernet, a shutoff timer and a usage meter. Built-in functionalities include video stream optimization, genie network monitoring, live parental controls and printer sharing. It has the maximum wireless range setting a benchmark in home wireless routers that allows HD video streaming and multiplayer gaming.
The Netgear N900 router also allows big files backup and wireless 3D. The setup process is easy without need of any installation CD and configuration can be done through a wirelessly connected device such as tablet, PC, iPad, Mac and smartphones. The router is bundled with NETGEAR GenieTM which is compatible with Macs and PCS that provides a monitoring dashboard for viewing network repairs, network maps and the router’s features.
A USB printer connected to N900 is accessible from any computer within the local network. No network password is required to enter the home network system. A box with six antennas inside is currently priced at $180.
