Its been 6 months now since the debut of iPod Touch 4G (4th generation) last September, which brought one of the most powerful portable music player device in the world. And now that we’re nearing Apple’s music event again, it’s obvious that many users are going frantic as to what will be the specifications of the new iPod Touch for this year a.k.a iPod Touch 5th Generation. Last time, we’ve managed to report that it may have a 3D-support capability and won’t have any Home-button anymore. Well, what do you know? It appears the latter prediction seems to come out as something plausible and there’s a new leak for that!

Coming from CG, it appears their team managed to unearth a potential iPod Touch 5G leak which portrays the button-less device, replaced by a capacitive / touchscreen interface. As for its specifications, it packs a 128GB storage capacity, running a 4.2.1MC14 firmware with a model MC550LL leading to a fact that this was an old stock of a Mac Pro or the last year’s iPod Touch.
Likewise, it was said this device will also hold the same aluminum back which was rumored to be infused on the upcoming iPhone 5 as well.
Meanwhile, the existence of this leak was traced back to those iPod Touch 4Gs discovered last year with a “DVT-1″ mark, although this one is obviously different from the current “iTouch” we’re using today. Whatever the case may be, the future looks bright with release of the next-gen iPod Touch this year!
