Now here’s an interesting leak coming from an apple insider claiming that the 2011 Macbook Pro would arrive soon – in fact, it may arrive after Apple released some “replacement machines” for customers who need it.

For those who aren’t familiar, you can order a custom-made Macbook Pro complete with the added hardware and peripherals. The issue arrives when these build-to-order machine got caught on a “faulty custom configuration” in which Apple granted that users who are affected by this problem would receive a replacement on their hardware “soon”. It appears today, the timeline would take as long as eight weeks to arrive.

The root of the problem all originated from Intel’s recall of the Sandy Bridge for its Core-i5 / Core-i7 chipset. As you can see, all the new macbook pros that have been revealed this year were using that same chipset. Luckily, it appears the company has already resumed shipping again and it seems those new macbook pros aren’t affected with this Sandy Bridge recall.

I know this sound a bit perplexing but if ever there’ll be a recall of Macbook Pros that would turn into chaos!

Anyway, one should realize that the latest Macbook Pro was revealed last April, 2010 running Intel’s Core i3 / i5 / i7 CPU. For this year, there’s a slight rumor that the release date for Macbook Pro 2011 may come on the same cycle – which would point out on the second quarter of this year. Or is it?

Let’s see how this one plays out.
