Google announces the upcoming launch of its 100 YouTube Celebrity Channels. This new feature will allow the world to watch the site’s most talented individuals along with its wide selection of original contents.
What does it mean? For one, YouTube members and visitors will no longer be misled on subscribing to fake celebrity channels. You will be able to watch the latest game trailers from the one and only Machinima or laughing with Ryan Higa’s hilarious “YOMYOMF” videos.
Of course, you’re favourite celebrities will also have their own ‘exclusive’ channels. Expect to see dedicated channels for Ashton Kutcher, Madonna, Rainn Wilson, Sofia Vergara, Deepak Chopra and a whole lot more!
YouTube’s Global Head of Content Partnerships, Robert Kyncl, also announced that the original contents will be gradually launched in the site. But what’s even more exciting to know is that the first channel with original content has already been set for release next month! The rest of the channels will be launched in the upcoming months.
Google invested $100 Million for this new venture just to ensure the quality of YouTube’s original channels. Seems like the online giant is setting up YouTube for something big in the future. Stay tuned for more details.
