Android softwares had been receiving a lot of praise over the previous years, and Google is on the process of releasing a tablet that also runs on Honeycomb, in collaboration with LG.

They will be releasing a new brand of tablet called Nexus, through the joint partnership of Google and LG. The complete specs have not yet been released, but its due to be available by summer. Surely, this new Nexus device would be equipped with Google’s Android 3.0. If the company will handle the distribution the same way they did before, then Nexus tablets will most likely be sold directly to consumers or through subsidized deals from wireless carriers.
As for Google’s take on this newly developed tablet, speculations arise that the company is overturning their manufacturing partners by providing the latest and most updated version of Honeycomb on only their very own tablet plate. It seems Google wants to give Nexus a cutting edge among tablet, and presumably, that is to further develop its operating system and interface.
So for other manufacturers who would like to get a hold of latest plate for Android 3.0, they would still have to since a separate license agreement with Google. And unfortunately, those who had Android 2.0 would not be able to upgrade to Honeycomb. Is Google trying to secure Honeycomb’s exclusivity as a selling point for their new Nexus tablet? Well, we won’t know for sure until we see more details of the story.
