Trickles of rumor became streams of theory and now the pieces for the ‘Nexus One a.k.a Google Phone’ puzzle are getting complete! Although, the WSJ post for this day was not the one tech-savvy people are waiting for, Engadget was there to the rescue and to compensate for the spaces needed to fill-up about the questions that are still lingering for the majority. One is the question about specs, what carrier will the Nexus 1 be using? And more official pictures p-l-e-a-s-e! So we compile all the data we’ve gathered for this day to give you the closest epitome you can get for Google Phone .
Specifications:
- Android 2.1 operating system
- Capacitive OLED touch screen
- Snapdragon 1 GHz processor

- Voice-text for SMS messaging / Voice-Speech dictation for apps
- Thinner than the iPhone (I guess you need to try it for yourself to find out)
- Virtual Keyboard (Not yet confirmed if it’s multi-touch ready)

- Because its an Android phone, expect all the latest apps from the android store. Engadget confirms that it also has the new Google Goggles App.
- Will run on GSM instead of CDMA (So this means Nexus One will not be open for Sprint/Verizon CDMA type carriers. See the difference of GSM and CDMA on wisegeek)

Impressively, to keep the people excited during the Holidays, Android release a flash-version game for the Nexus One. See the details on TC on how to play it.
We will feed you guys with more of the details as the day for the ‘google phone release’ arrives. For the meantime here’s an Android 101 video to ‘feed your mind’ about what the heck really is an android?

“Will run on GSM instead of CDMA (So this means Nexus One will not be open for AT&T/Verizon CDMA type carriers. See the difference of GSM and CDMA on wisegeek)”
Actually ATT IS GSM, you must mean Sprint, because Sprint and Verizon are the only major CDMA networks in the country.
We appreciate the comment. Thank you for keeping an eye, ‘sticky fingers’ sometimes…
Will it support UMA on the t-mobile network?
