Okay some more reasons why you should buy Nexus One – If you happened to have seen this post “Nexus One Sucks” (dedicated for the disadvantages of Google Phone) I’m sure you’ll be happy for this refund by BIG G.
Apparently, if you’re one of the users who upgrade N1 for 379 USD, there has been a refund of $100 bringing it down to 279 USD only. This has been officially confirmed by a google employee and Tmo News.

On a nutshell, this rebate will only work for people who bought their Nexus phone on a locked service with T-mobile: Unlocked plans will still have that 529 USD price. 279 USD for current Tmo subscribers, and 179 USD if you will get this phone under a 2-year contract service with Tmo.
As you can see the current plans for Tmo is as follows:
- 179 USD – For new Tmo customers, without existing plan, signing a fresh 2 year contract plan with Tmo.
- 279 USD- If you’re already a Tmo customer, without any existing plan, signing a fresh 2 year contract plan with Tmo
- 379 USD – If you’re already a Tmo customer, with an existing plan, now “UPGRADING” for a 2 new year plan.
- 529 USD – Of course that’s the price of the unsubsidized phone.
So if you happened to fall on the 3rd category, you will be having that rebate.
Probably, still not the sweetest news, but heyp! at least we still manage to get that 1 benjamin franklin bill, don’t we?
