Well, here’s the Nexus S captured for posterity in blurry JPEG formats. So here’s a quick recap of the rumors and leaks of the past few months, in sequential order, from newest to oldest.

Ready? Ok, here we go:
1. A mock-up of the Nexus 2 courtesy of Gizmodo appeared. They based this on a trusted source that has actually seen the actual unit. No pics or vids though.
2. Next day, new rumors abounded. The new rumors were now about the specs and features.
3. Next in line is about the November 11 (what date is it today?) scheduled release that was unfortunately pushed back because of some hardware issues. There was also the news that Gingerbread was supposed to launch on the same date, but was also pushed back. Whatever.
4. The next rumor was about the model number and what it meant to the Galaxy line of smartphones. There were rumors that the name was this or that and no confirmation has ever been provided. All the readers know is that the “Nexus S” name stuck.
5. And lastly, yesterday was where the leaked photos of the new phone running Gingerbread were shown to the world.
Now Gingerbread may be the next update to the wonderful Android OS, but geezas people, focus on the phone and get it out already.
No video proof still about the phone unless you count the 44 minute YouTube video of Eric Schmidt tantalizing everyone with the phone he’s holding. Yeah, I think not.
