Those who are serious about photography and the toys (yes, the toys!) that come with it may want to check out Nikon’s rumored release of the D800 DSLR.

Apart from being tagged as smaller and brighter compared to its sibling the D700, its specifications speak for itself as this baby is quite blessed to have humongous features. For starters, it has a 36-megapixel sensor which is capable of 7360×4912 display resolution and packs a three-inch display on the back. In terms of video recording, it will feature 1080p (30/25/24 fps) and 720p (60/30/25/24 fps) respectively.
Moreover, ISO range is from 100 to 6,400 which can be increased up to 25,600. It also has a 51-point AF system much like the D3 and D700. Storage and memory isn’t a limitation as there are slots for SD as well as compact flash cards. For connectivity purposes, the Nikon D800 has a USB 3.0 port on it.
Release is a bit blur at the moment as no details are available yet. However, it is expected to make its way in the land of the rising sun by 24th of this month for a reported price of ¥300,000 or roughly a nifty $3,900. Better check your cash flow if you’re a camera buff and loves photography.
