You know a company is very serious on its product when you see it dropping firmware updates even before it reached one-week old! Well, that’s the same situation for Nintendo as the gamingsphere reveals that it “silently” took an action for all those individuals who are trying to pirate Nintendo 3Ds units via an R4 card.

You see, it has been demoed before that the R4 card hack, which was very imminent on old Nintendo DS units, can still be used for 3DS and while it was not revealed for piracy purpose, it will only take time until some geek managed to find a way of using this as the ultimate pirate-tool.
And this is the part where Nintendo gets too serious, serious as in they are willing to brick your 3DS if you use this hack. Now, that’s not the problem if Nintendo can accurately aim those “real” hackers but the real issue is, some legit flash-card manufacturers like EnterKing are having a problem with this.
You see, with the latest 3DS firmware update of Nintendo, just the fact that you are using a Flash-card, your unit will be bricked (won’t start again). As cruel as this may sound for flash-card manufacturers, Nintendo doesn’t want to discuss any topics in related with this one in order to protect the 3DS hardware system itself.
So for the meantime, may we advice everyone not to use any Flash Cards even if it’s not an R4, got that?
