For those video gaming enthusiasts out there who just can’t get enough of the Nintendo Wii, here is some good news for you to hear. Just recently there were some ongoing rumors that Nintendo, one of the most influential companies in the world when it comes to the video games industry, is currently on the works with the next generation of the popular gaming console Nintendo Wii. However, Nintendo did not deny nor confirmed these latest rumors about Wii, but with all the information that has leaked recently, surely Nintendo is working on something that we should look forward to.
Apparently, the Nintendo Wii 2 is going to address all the issues that will prevent it from grabbing an even greater market share than the first version. Maxconsole was the very first to have leaked about this upcoming Nintendo Wii 2 and apparently, the leaked information came from a very reliable source from Nintendo, France.
Based on this leaked information that is quite limited only, the included specs are the following:
- Comes with a built-in Blu-ray drive that is intended to partly prevent piracy
- Supports 1080p games and movies
- Comes with an HD output port
As of present these are the only specs information available about the upcoming generation of the Nintendo Wii. But this information seems to be just enough to show that the Wii2 will obviously bring some good news to all those gaming enthusiasts out there who have been long playing the Wii on their HDTVs without being able to play HD games. If the new Nintendo Wii 2 will be HD enabled it can possible go head to head with the PS3 and Xbox. And you don’t need to be envious of your friends that have a PS3 and who have been enjoying HD games in their console.
The Nintendo Wii 2 is rumored to be having its commercial launch next year and will available in various countries worldwide as well. If Nintendo is really planning to release this rumored HD Wii, then they have to bring the product soon because if the plans of Sony to reduce the PS 3’s price to $ 299 will push through, then Nintendo will surely have a tough time and be forced to come out with a really competitive price that will encourage more consumers to get the Wii 2 rather than the PS 3.
