It was quite a long time since T-Mobile USA launched the Nokia 5230, and as expected the Nokia 5230 was loved by many Nokia users evident by its remarkable sales performance. And just recently, there were some ongoing rumors from various gadget websites giving a hint that Nokia is coming out with the Nokia 5250 which is apparently Nokia 5230’s successor. Basically, this device is expected to carry the same button configuration as that of the 5230 model but sports a smaller screen.
The Nokia 5250 is the latest smartphone from Nokia that offers a resistive touchscreen display, a 2 megapixel built-in camera and runs on Symbian^1 operating system and comes pre-installed with a mobile version of the extremely popular Guitar Hero 5. The Nokia 5250 measures around 104mm x 49mm x 14mm, which makes it an extremely pocketable device. Aside from these exciting features the Nokia 5250 is also rumored to include the following specs and additional features:
- 2.8 inch touchscreen with 640 x 360 pixel screen resolution display
- FM radio
- Media player on its home screen which can download tracks from Ovi store or from the users’ own collection
- Battery life of up to 18 days standby time , 7 hours of talktime or 24 hours of music playback
- 51 MB of memory on board
- Audio files can be expandable up to 16GB with a microSD card that provides enough space for around 4,000 songs
Aside from these features, the Nokia 5250 also appears to be a highly sociable phone. As a proof, you can easily find your favorite contacts on its home screen and it also provides easy access to social networking sites such as Facebook. Furthermore, this device also allows you to stay connected and log-in with multiple e-mail accounts such as Ovi Mail, Gmail, Yahoo Mail as well as instant messenger applications.
