At this point, it’s already obvious that ever since Nokia announced it will use Windows Phone 7 for its main platform on the development of its future smartphones, It also mean the company is officially killing the Symbian platform. Meaning, any Nokia units that will used that old OS today will be doomed from the start. And this is the same scenario for the Nokia E6, which was leaked again today.
Previously, even before the Nokia-Microsoft partnership, it was already predicted that the Nokia E6 would come out as a “dead-phone” not only because it’s using Symbian, but because of its mid-end specifications as well. And the only way for the company to market this one advantageously is if they will lower its price to the 300 USD zone sans the contract.
As of today, the Nokia E6 has been spotted that it will still use a QWERTY keyboard powered by Symbian^3 (S^3), although this one would have a touchscreen display for easier navigation unlike its previous models. Again, it still packs an average type of specifications like 640 x 480 screen resolution, HSPA / WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 support and an 8MP autofocus camera.
As for its release date, it failed to arrive or even announced at the MWC event last week, so it’s obvious that the N company is thinking arduously when will they launch this phone. But more importantly, will they even give this device a chance to have the WP7 OS or not?

Erm , excuse me ? The e6 is DOA because Nokia has abandoned Symbian 3 ??? NOKIA has repeatedly stated that they will continue to support Symbian 3 at least through 2013. Also , Nokia will be releasing yet more Symbian 3 smartphones as well as more updates ( yes plural ) . Finally , even when ( and /or if ) Nokia moves to WP7 , they have repeatedly said that WP7 will be in top tier smartphones only ; mid and low tier will still be Symbian , with some Meego phones , so I’m not sur where you r gettingur info , thanks !
