If you’re a gadget aficionado and have plans to attend CES beginning Tuesday to Friday, you’ll be disappointed since hundreds of products were already unveiled as early as last week. Still, there are a lot of surprises waiting for you and in case you’ve missed Nokia’s keynote, you should know Espoo finally announced Nokia Lumia 900 and while the company is still tight-lipped on what are the sales number of its two other siblings (710 & 800), it appears the new Windows Phone is something what the fans need — here’s why.
On a nutshell, the Lumia 900 posses a similar set of specifications compared with ‘800’ packing a 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED display with 800×480 resolution; 512MB RAM, 8MP rear camera with f/2.2 Carl Zeiss optics and dual-LED flash capable of 720p video recording plus, a front-facing cam with f/2.4 wide-angle lens giving it some edge compared with other smartphones. On its brain lies a single-core 1.4GHz Snapdragon CPU which is the same with Lumia 800 although the thing that separates this device from its other brethren is its LTE modem capable of supporting AT&T’s 4G (HSDPA+) network – which will be the phone’s exclusive carrier when it hit United States. Interestingly, Nokia also pumped 900’s battery juicing it with 1840mAh said to last for seven hours of talk time.
Unfortunately, the company is still shy on giving an exact release date of the new handset but its CEO Stephen Elop did confirm it should arrive in the “next couple of months” globally (including U.S.) available in colors similar with 800 and it will be marketed “aggressively” hinting its price won’t be in the premium range. We’ll see!
