Less than two months after the release of Nokia Lumia 710 and 800, Espoo unveiled its first LTE equipped Windows Phone branded as the Lumia 900 destined for a global release. Today, we received confirmation the new 4G phone is etched on Carphone Warehouse which means, its possible release date on UK will be around soon.
As some may already know, Nokia’s strategy for Lumia’s launch is to skip United States and try to sell the device on countries with high interest (i.e: not fully swamped with Android and iPhone yet). Likewise, we’ve seen this move before when HP tried to market Palm Pre 2 smartphone on Europe first. However, during CES week, AT&T did confirm it’ll be the exclusive carrier for the 900 and will be selling the device “a few months” from that period hinting the device will land on United States.
Going back with the discussion, eagle-eyed customers have spotted a listing under Carphone about the Mango-equipped 4G handset slated for a release this June. Obviously, everything is still tentative in fact, the page where the leak was purported is now gone. Just a refresher, the main advantage of Lumia 900 with her older siblings is 4G support putting its DL speeds up to 21Mbps (theoretically). Aside from that, it comes with a front-facing cam for video-chat, better screen panel and beefed out battery. The rest of its specs are the same like 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED display, 512MB RAM, 8MP shooter camera and powered by 1.4GHz single-core Snapdragon CPU.
