There’s a new phone on the market from one of the biggest players in the handset industry, Nokia. There have been lots of critiques about this new model and speculations that this is the make or break point for the company. This will either become the flagship or it will sink everything to the ground. For a company that’s not as flexible as Nokia, that’s the hardest thing to hear. But let’s put that aside first and discuss the new model. Then decide for yourself if it’s worth all these rumors.
The Nokia N8 has a 3.5 inch touch screen display and a 12.0 megapixel camera (a first for Nokia). The camera has a Carl Zeiss lens and a Xenon flash –quite a good combination for a camera. Just imagine yourself holding your Nokia N8 and capturing the moments that matter in your life. Just by that, you’d probably want to go out and get one. But there are still a few more features and specifications you have to look into before dashing to the store.
The phone runs on a Symbian^3 OS, which puts it up on the limelight because it will be the first Symbian 3 phone. Ever. Plus, the phone is powered by a 1GHz snapdragon processor for faster and smoother working performance. In addition to this incredible OS, the phone has GPRS, EDGE, 3G with HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections.
The Nokia N8 also has the ability to playback HD videos on their TV via an HDMI connection. The device also has an external SIM slot which will provide storage for that extra 32GB of internal memory.
From what you’ve read above, what do you think? Is it sinking or swimming? Does Nokia have a winner in the N8? Will people flock to stores to buy this after reading this review? I would, especially now that Nokia has its line of touch screen phones. I’ve always been comfortable using Nokia phones ever since. They have a way of making their gadgets user-friendly. Hopefully, others will realize it too. Nokia has always been one not to compromise on technology, and this time, they’re out to prove it.
There have been talks that the N8 will be released on April and that the release date will be delayed until July– price will be 479 USD (370 euros). Yet there have been no confirmations to the exact date of its public release.
