Nokia fans who are waiting for even just of bit of information or otherwise known as rumour on the Nokia Windows Phone 7, now is the time. Eldar Murtazi of Mobile-Review.com have spilled some juicy information about the new Nokia W7 and claims that he even had the chance to play with one of its prototype. Eldar says on one of his tweets that the so called Nokia W7 looks pretty much like the newly release Nokia X7.
The W7 is said t be powered by a Qualcomm chip processor and as to what I’ve said earlier it looks like X7 with an 8 MP autofocus camera and at least everything in it, just take the Symbian platform out of the picture. If this rumour is true, then this device would be Nokia’s first smartphone running the Windows Phone 7 OS. Nokia’s target of availability for this smartphone is Q4 of this year, but it might take a little while, let’s say, Q1 of 2012 until we see this in action. And in terms of functionality, it is said that W7 is a reminiscent of HTC Mozart.
For the second smartphone, that was said to be seen until Q2 of 2012, the W8, looks more promising than the earlier one. This one might be powered also by Qualcomm and an Adreno 320 GPU. Also, they said that this might be a good camera phone just like N8.
Price of these are to be added and the release dates stated here are speculations only and aren’t final.
