A couple of days ago, we revealed that the future of Nokia Windows Phones is predicted to use a non-Qualcomm CPU, which happens to be ST-Ericsson’s dual-core processor confirmed by some insiders. At that time, some aren’t convinced about this report.
Well? With the recent VIP announcement of Microsoft today, it’s revealed that Qualcomm Snapdragon CPUs are bound to power its next-generation Windows Phone 7 devices; giving us the impression the mogul-chip company’s job is to provide processors for non Nokia-WP units only.

Meanwhile, the announcement also gave us some vital information about the future of Nokia-Windows hybrid handsets revealing that on its launch, all of them (yes, them!) will already have the Windows Phone 7.1 (Mango) update pre-installed.
According to engadget, a Nokia PR managed to contact them and clarify about the numbers of Nokia-WP7 devices they will be revealing “soon”, and it’s confirmed that there’s more than one device. The only problem is, we haven’t heard of any announcements except for the Nokia W8 / W7 leak last month.
In our previous report, we revealed the main benefits of having the Mango update on WP7. In fact, it sweetens the device by adding multitasking, Internet Explorer 9 and more app-related features.
The only question now is, would there be enough demand to make this device at par with the popularity of iPhone or other Android devices?
