Details about the Adam II is still scarce but the company did mention that its next-gen slate will be fitted with Android Ice Cream Sandwich. FYI, the OMAP4400-series features a dual 1.5GHz ARM Cortex-A9 MPCores with integrated PowerVR SGX540 graphic processor. It’s a cost-effective and power efficient chip with intended applications ranging from video processing, high processing requirement and advanced graphics applications.
Notion Ink is also eyeing on other Texas Instruments’ technologies like Wi-Link 7.0 and Phoenix Audio Power amplifiers to incorporate on its upcoming tablet. The Notion Ink Adam II is touted as the world’s first Modular Based Software Architecture that allows users – programmers or non-programmers alike – to easily create applications and games with the easy to use drag-and-drop interface. Furthermore, the tablet could be utilized a medical imaging device, 3D modeling, logic analyzer and even as signal acquisition and processing instrument. More will come when it launches.
