Gamers have preferences for graphic cards which can deliver their dreamlike needs for the ultimate gaming experience. Addressing this need of course results to graphics card wars related to quality and pricing. In lieu of such situation, NVIDIA recently launched is GeForce GTX 550 Ti which the company says to be a budget-friendly card with a mass market appeal.

Lowering its cost to $149 also meant something was done by NVIDIA to its new GTX 550 Ti. Although it has support for NVIDIA Surround, said graphics card has 192 CUDA cores inside which equals the company’s previously released GTS 450 but less than the GTX 460. If performance was to be spoken of, the GTX 550 Ti sits between the two mentioned.
To compensate also for the shortcomings in graphics processing, NVIDIA has put in place 1800 MHz in support to the 900 MHz graphics clock speed. The GTX 550 Ti also has a gigabyte of RAM that runs on 4GHz (this has also suffered a little bit since a 192-bit interface was used compared to the 256-bit used in the bigger GTX 560 Ti).
Now, if you’re a budget-wise gamer that considers all options for your gaming needs, then preferential wise you may opt for the GeForce GTX 550 Ti. Release is said to be early spring.
