When we read or hear the word Olympus, we do know that its one of the companies that manufacture and create quality cameras. As a testament to that, Olympus is set to release its new camera in town, the PEN E-PL3.

What are PEN cameras if you would ask? Well Olympus developed these cameras to give user the freedom to interchange lenses. With it, user/photographer is able to have superior optics and at the same time have an extensive multimedia capability with his/her camera. Now, the PEN E-PL3 offers a variety of features for the camera enthusiast out there.
It has an updated 12 megapixel Live MOS sensor. Correspondingly, there’s also a Dual-core TruePic VI processor and the 120 Hz “Fast AF” focus system. Apart from these, the E-PL3 has clip-on flash, built-in autofocus illuminator light, shadow tone adjustment control and Art Filter mode that have a quick preview option. Oh, by the way, this camera has a tilting LCD screen (460,000 dots) which has an aspect ratio of 16:9.

Accordingly, Olympus also made clear that their VF-3 Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) will be made available for its PEN series Micro Four Thirds cameras. The VF-3 features a 100 percent field-of-view and can be tilted to about 90 degrees. It also has adjustments for both brightness and temperature.
Olympus camera enthusiasts can have the Olympus PEN E-PL3 for $699.99 with availability slated by September in the US. The VF-3 accessory meanwhile would cost roughly $179.99.
