Smartphone users who use Opera are in for a treat! Opera has just released new updates for both the Opera Mobile and Opera Mini, providing an improved performance for portable browsing. The interface of the browsers has also been customized so it could be adapted for Tablet PC use.

The Opera Mini 6 and Opera Mobile 11 have been revved up by with new features, such as improved zooming and navigation. Users would now be able to utilize the pinch to zoom feature on supported devices. Apart from that, it also offers better panning performance and scrolling for better web browsing.
In line with the advent of social networking sites, Opera aims to keep up the hype by adding a new feature supporting SNS browsing. The share button has been incorporated in the browser’s feature to allow users to post messages on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. The navigation buttons have also been relocated. Usually, smartphones have the nav buttons at the bottom part, but Opera placed it at the top of the screen when using a tablet version.
The Opera Mobile 11 supports HTML 5 and is available for smartphones that run on Symbian and Android. On the other hand, the Opera Mini 6 can be used on smartphones with operating systems that are Symbian S60, Android and Blackberry. It also supports devices with J2ME Java applets.
