The Apple Mac mini has caught the eye of many with its impressive specs and compact feature. But we’re excited to share with you that your Mac mini’s current specs can now be upgraded thanks to Elgato and OWC.

In a recent press launch, Elgato has announced that its company, a well-known TV tuner manufacturer, and Other World Computing (OWC), another independent electronics provider, are collaborating to give new capabilities on the Apple Mac mini.
According to them, Elgato will endow either an EyeTV Hybrid tuner – which delivers live TV to either analog or digital TV set – or an EyeTV HD DVR. It will be coupled with OWC’s offerings that include an additional RAM, Blu-ray disc burner and an Apple remote. OWC will also upgrade the storage capacity of your Mac mini from 320GB to 12 TB. They will configure your Mac mini with a Mercury Elite-AL Pro Qx2 storage solution that contains 4 x 3.5 inch Hard drive each with 3TB.
The Apple Mac mini originally contains either a 2.4 / 2.66 GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 320M GPU, 320GB HDD, HDMI connector, USB and Ethernet port. It only has an 85-watt power supply and boasts of consuming very low power. The Mac mini by itself costs $699.
Currently there are still no price details divulged by either company as to how much the upgrade will cost. The OWC doesn’t sell new Mac minis but will configure your mini with the abovementioned add-ons if you endorse it to them. So, what do you think? Is this a great package or what?
