Just when you thought that Palm devices are getting extinct comes this news that HP (parent company) will be releasing a new palm pre device which is rumored to be the Palm Pre 2 destined to land on Europe on its release date. While its pricing is yet to be revealed. Leaks are already buzzing about its specs. So here are the rumored specifications.
It’s very likely that this device will use a 1GHz processor probably a TI OMAP 3630 (1GHz, single core)
It’s a slider device that comes on a slightly similar form-factor like the older pre-plus. And there’s an internal antenna build probably hidden behind the battery cover. The phone also comes on 1150 mAH battery (no surprise).
It’s said that the company submitted 180 days of confidentiality while FCC is testing the innards of this device. So it will be revealed later on March 7, 2011 – Probably you can expect the official launch date before or after that period. Although leaks will certainly keep on pouring in now that this device has been publicized over the blogosphere.
Eversince Palm was acquired by HP, everything seems to become silent about it. Hopefully, after this noiseless brigade we’ll see a boisterous revelation of what they have been up to with the palm device – Probably an upgrade for its WebOs? Improved specifications? The list goes on for the once popular smartphone of the early 2000. We’ll keep you guys updated.
