These two phones from Palm attended the 2009 CES and not so many people were impressed (I can’t even remember if there were people who were really impressed..hmmm). But who would not rise from a stumble?
Palm makes a comeback to regain its dignity by revamping Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi plus and show it off at the 2010 CES! Was it successful? I would have to say yes! Maybe because people still remember the flaws that never gone unnoticed on last year’s CES and since the flaws still lingers people know what they should expect from Palm Pre and Pixi and though the flaws from these two phone from last year can still be remembered it actually made a great impact to Palm because the reinvention of the phones didn’t go unnoticed.
Praises from critics came rushing like flood, so basically Palm’s hard work paid off ! I have to say that the makeover has been applied mainly on Pre plus, the slider is now more snappy and not to mention durable so you wouldn’t have to worry when you slide it in or out that you might just break it. Palm also removed that annoying orange color from the keypad and re-designed it for more comfort and feel when typing.
Palm pre plus will be delivering a 16GB internal memory plus a 3D gaming (eg: EA’s Need for Speed Undercover). Unlike Pixi plus that would be more of the 2G phone experience. Between the two phones Pre plus was way more advance (or shall I say Palm has dedicated more time on it compared to Pixi plus) both phones will be bound for Verizon of course they have Wi-Fi, in addition to that I got you guys a device overview for both phones. See scanned technical specs attachment for both Palm phone gadgets below via phonearena.
Though both phones had a major face lift there’s still some things that would make us sad and say it can’t have it all. These two doesn’t have a microSD card slot and video recording, I guess we just have to look at the brighter side that Palm made an effort to improve their phones and we are actually quite happy about the results. See Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus (Verizon) Hands-on Video below.

The smartphone can be sluggish at times, so don’t expect this to be your business sidekick. However, it’s a good fit for first-time smartphone users, offering ease of use and all the basic organizing features and then some.
