We do know that HP Palm is struggling when it comes to the question of how will it try to resurrect Palm devices on the grave? Obviously, the Palm Pre 2 device isn’t enough to do this quest alone and the company should resort on something that’s more lucrative on their end. During the course of the HP Palm saga, we have heard a lot of rumors that it will be revealing two type of tablets, the one targeting the business-oriented people will be the HP Slate 500 running Windows 7 and the other one which will be for consumer type of usage will be this WebOS based tablet, enthusiasts are calling the PalmPad. At that time, everything was still hazy for the device although today, it seems some pundits managed to unearth its real name. Or is it?
Coming from engadget, a leaked Palm keyboard accessory presentation reveals the next name of Palm’s tablet and it will be called as Topaz. Interestingly, this could be another tablet beside the WebOS powered tablet we’re hearing a lot. Its features are still vague but it will represent a very slick hardware, no dangling buttons in front and its design wouldn’t be utilizing a slideout keyboard. Instead, users can optionally connect a Bluetooth keyboard as you can see from the picture. Later on, it was claimed that the release date for this Topaz tablet would be on Q2-Q3 next year.
For the past month, we’ve been hearing a lot of Palm devices including that Mansion which could be the Palm Pre 3. Needless to say, HP is doing all the necessary things it can to raise the Palm in which they bought for 1.2 billion of dollars this year.
