Okay I know that this is kinda late for a phone that came out approximately a year ago but what’s important is that we dedicated time and exerted an effort to deliver you this review. So let’s go back to the main topic which is Palm Treo Pro. So far this is the thinnest (until now) among the Palm Smartphones and please stop comparing this phone to the new ones in the market, alright? This is definitely something that you may say ‘quite outdated’ (if you’ll compare it to the Smartphones now) but haven’t I told you that this phone was released last 2009? So stop complaining and comparing.
Moving on this is the neatest Smartphone Palm has released and though Palm has recently released Pixi and Pre plus this Pro still remains on top when it comes to functionality (though I have to admit that I love how Palm pre plus looks like) If you can’t help but compare Pre plus to Pro then by all means compare but on the other hand each of us has different needs and preference so you may find Pixi plus superior than the Treo Pro but others find it the other way around.
Palm Treo Pro looks like/resembles a Blackberry phone to me, maybe because of the keypad and shape plus the navigation key in the middle, nevertheless it still has its own identity.
So what does Palm Treo Pro got bragging?
- Bluetooth A2DP
- Qualcomm MSM720 processor (400 MHz)
- Quad-Band GSM unit
- Tri-Band 3G HSDPA/UMTS
- Wireless data support
- Built in 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth 2.0
- IR port and GPS receiver
- Built in 256MB memory
- microSD expansion slot up to 32GB
- Battery 1500 mAh: 5 hours talk time, up to 250 hours standby
- USB port (that can be a recharging slot too)
- Windows Mobile 6.1 OS
- 2 megapixel camera
- Touchscreen capabilities
Palm Treo is a Smartphone that can attend to your basic surfing, connectivity and communication needs. It’s perfect for those people who wants a handy Smartphone but is not as complicated as the new gadget out there that needs a lot of getting used to. Over all Old school is still cool for me! By the way you just have to spare $199 for this phone, not bad right?
