Remember that news we reported last july about the possibility of HP Company to release two types of tablet this year and next year? Well, it turns out that the first one was in the form a windows 7-based tablet called the HP Slate 500. Now, the other one which was predicted to be named as palmpad, because of the recently bought domain slated to it, is now creating some rumor-mills again towards the blogosphere.

Acoording to a Taiwanese-based publication, there will be 5 or 6 new palm devices that’s going to roll out before the end of this year and will continue next year. One of it is the Palm Pre 2, a Rogers Palm Pre 2, Palmpad and the other remaining devices are still undisclosed. As you can see, just in case HP really manages to do this then it will be the company’s first tablet to be powered by WebOS 2.0 which something everyone is hoping not to fail just because we already have 4 platforms in the industry (Apple, Android, RIM and WP7)
As you may or may not recall, we bombarded the palm pre 2 as a mediocre device. It looks fresh all right, but if HP is seriously planning to compete on the smartphone industry, they need to load the new palm devices with Nuke firepower not BB guns only – Okay?
