Panasonic is upgrading their Lumix line for mass consumers with the introduction of Lumix DMC-FH7. Of course there is little difference among the specifications of compact digital cameras these days so what makes this new offering from the company stand out from the rest?

First, it offers a 16.1 megapixel resolution with intuitive touch-controls totally eliminating the buttons at the back that users have to press when they shoot. The entire buttons would be accessible via the LCD screen itself. This makes the screen larger making it at least 3 inches that provides a treat for photo enthusiasts when viewing their photos. The screen would be your access to the Touch Auto Focus, Touch zoom, intelligent scene selector and Touch Shutter.

More so, it comes with a high-quality retractable 28mm wide-angle lens from a company that has gained worldwide praise for the quality of their optics, LEICA boasting an impressive 4x optical zoom. If you want to shoot HD videos, it’s not a problem either because the DMC-FH7 can record 1280x720p at 24 fps that renders sharp and vivid images.
Packed with Panasonic’s Venus Engine VI processor, the camera is capable of producing high quality images with the help of Intelligent Resolution technology.
Price and availability of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH7 is yet to be announced by Panasonic.
