Panasonic ToughBook C1 Tablet PC | Specs Review

Posted on 06 March 2010 by pinoytutorial

If you think Panasonic is just all about television, home theater equipments and the like, you’re wrong! Panasonic debuts their first tablet PC with ToughBook C1. The first time I laid my eyes on this computing device it already made me feel like I’m on my teen age years again. The looks of this gadget is like a portable DVD and an upsized mp3 player to me, but it’s really not that though it can strut those stuff too.

What is so special about this device is that it is the lightest among all the 12.1 inch Tablet PC that has ever been launched because it only weighs 3.2 pounds compared to the 3.3 pounds of other brands! Panasonic ToughBook C1 Convertible Tablet PC is indeed another eye candy. I’m sure once your teen sees this, they would be begging for you to buy it for them but we are giving you a very huge excuse to give to your son or daughter not to buy this device for them no matter what!

You can just tell them that this gadget cost a pocket and savings emptying of $2,999 (lucrative I know)! That can already cost you a new renovation for the house or a second hand car for that matter, but then again if your filthy rich then ‘money doesn’t really matter’ because your kid’s smile and excitement is priceless!

This gadget is flaunting a one of a kind design but still too pricey for its price tag. It will be injected with Intel’s Core i-5 processor giving you a 2.4GHz speed and a battery that can last up to ten hours. It also supports digitizers and multi-touch for the slate. Other specifications are a 250 gigabyte hard drive, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n and 8 gigabyte DDR3 memory. As for the screen, it will be a WXVGA with 1200×800 resolution and also has a LED backlit panel.

You must be wondering why this device so expensive, well you’re not alone. Here are some of the special features of this computing device

  • A 30″ drop rating [to base only]
  • A spill resistant keyboard [up to 6 ounces or 200cc]
  • Optional Gobi2000 connectivity
  • Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200
  • A 250 GB shock-mounted flex connect HDD
  • Expandable Ram of up to 6 gigabyte

*Will be available this coming June 2010
