Three Android-powered tablets by Pandigital have been unveiled – the Pandigital Planet, Pandigital Nova and Pandigital Star, with advanced features and a choice for consumers to choose from.

The fourth is coming out in September. All tablets have the following common specification: a 7-inch touchscreen display (resolutions differ where both Nova and Planet have 800×600, and Star with 800×480), Cortex A9 processor, HDMI and WiFi connectivity, preloaded Barnes & Noble’s eBookstore app and GetJar store access. Individually, there’s a 2Gb onboard memory for both Star and the Planet, and 4Gb for Nova. The three are also WiFi-enabled and enclosed in a lightweight black form factor with metal-look sloping face

Android 2.2 is the preferred iOS of the Planet and the Star, while Nova got the Gingerbread. They have 3D graphics engines that are embedded suitable for watching videos or movies or playing games at speedier rates. This is also helpful when it comes to reading ebooks, surfing, emailing, online shopping photo sharing and most of all, social networking. Users can customize the tablets based on their needs by downloading the Android apps.

The Planet and Nova (shipping starts this week) are up for grabs at $189 with Best Buy offering $170 for Nova. In mid-August, the Star will shine for $159.
