Just a few hours after Blizzard released Patch 2.0.5 for Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls, players experienced a few problems, one in particular is the random crashing of the game when entering a Nephalem Rift. This affects all players using PC / Mac and it’s reported to be more prevalent while inside a party.
To address this issue, Blizzard is rolling a server maintenance today (May 14) beginning 10:00am PDT and will end approximately 11:00am PDT. But for those who can’t wait for the patch, Blizz provided a workaround to fix the glitch here.
But that’s not all!
From this thread, it’s now confirmed players will receive 100% buff for XP leveling and obtaining blood shards beginning May 15 to May 22 as a part of Diablo 3’s two-year anniversary when the game was first released on May 15, 2012. It’s important to mention shards were already buffed on Patch 2.0.5 reaching as much as 100+ pieces per kill of a Nephalem Rift guardian in Torment 6 (the game’s highest difficulty level). From the looks of it, there’s a chance this quantity might be doubled when the buff rolls out tonight.
Previously, battle.net korea also leaked the first 100% XP buff community event just a few days before Reaper of Souls’s release making this sighting legit.
