iPad 2 users can now knock and let loose their inner artist as Adobe recently announced the availability of its Photoshop Touch at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The Photoshop Touch app is available via iTunes and will carry foundational Photoshop features as well as new surprises such as new proponents for creating and sharing, all enclosed in an application specifically made for tablets. The Photoshop Touch will be the focal point of Adobe’s Touch Apps alongside six multi faceted touch based applications that should provide users with basic Photoshop tools molded with contemporary touch applications, providing them with a unique representation and feel as their fingers do their masterpieces.
Senior Vice President and General Manager of Adobe’s Digital Media Business David Wadhwani said that “people will be amazed with what they can create on the iPad using the Photoshop Touch”. Furthermore, Wadhwani believes that the Adobe Photoshop Touch marries the magic of Photoshop alongside its core capabilities and features with the expediency of using a tablet and thereby resulting to superb image quality and editing abilities right under the user’s fingertips.
On the other hand, Boxing Clever Creative Director Brian Yap added that the Adobe Photoshop Touch is a huge convenience and “funnels cool Photoshop featured tailored for the iPad.” He also added that almost all essential Photoshop features are included in the Photoshop Touch including layer depth and fade and extraction tools.
Coming from the brilliant minds of the creative industry, Adobe Photoshop Touch is as essential a tool as any other application of the iPad. Not only artists, but normal people can gain the possibilities of having a premiere editing application in their iPad 2 and with the name established by Adobe and the praises gathered by Adobe Photoshop, endless potentials are sure to arise.
Just like the PC based Adobe Photoshop, the Photoshop Touch enables the user to edit, transform and store images with professional outputs. Personal effects and touches from photo manipulation to façade enhancement go into coordination with the fact that movements are made with the finger and not with a mouse. This in turn will make editing more precise and accurate, leaving little room for error and further editing. And, sensing that the application is within the walls of the iPad 2, finding images with Google Image Search will be a breeze and sharing edited photos and clear cut images are made possible through Facebook and other social media sites.
The Adobe Photoshop Touch is currently available for download for $9.99. The application is out in most countries with English support. In addition, Adobe is also set to unveil Adobe Collage, Adobe Ideas, Adobe Debut Adobe Proto and Adobe Keuler for the iPad in the coming months.
