In case you don’t know what’s being featured on the image above. It’s none other than PixelQi on a 7-inch display, which we are hoping to be a soon-to-be tablet. Anyway, for those who are unfamiliar with this display technology, it will feature out a unique transflective display giving more depth and brighter contrast called as 3Qi screen to give users the ability for the backlight to be turned off but you can still read the contents even at normal lighting — theoretically, this will save the machine’s battery.
As for its latest update, it’s now being utilized on some 1024 x 600 resolution type of displays even on 10.1 inch tablets and these Viliv X70 tablets could vouch for that concept. Anyway, there’s a lot of future for this display technology and actually, this one was even planned to use for the Notion Ink Adam tablet as well with its newly fangled EDEN UI. Anyway, PixelQi may have some production difficulties due to the economic’s struggle; but it wouldn’t be bad either to hope some day to see this one being implemented on your notebook’s next generation display.
