A new attachement specifically intended for new Play station 3 was recently announced by Sony at the E3 show in Los Angeles. The new Play station Move “Shooting Attachment” will surely make shooting aliens and zombies more thrilling. The Shooting Attachment will take the arcade shooting in a higher level.
The Shooting Attachment looks like a 1950’s ray gun with a light-up ball on the other end. It promises a more enhanced and fun-filled shooting experience. It weighs approximately 150 grams and measures 167mm × 145mm × 55mm.
The shooting attachment snaps directly on the Playstation Move motion controller making the user experience a more realistic shooting since they will be holding a gun-like device and shoot the bad guys in Move-enhanced games. The motion controller is found at the accessory and is joining the attachment’s trigger with the T button of the Move. The motion controller’s face button will still be easily accessible in a hole on top of the attachment.
The Japanese consumer Electronics giant said that the new Shooting Attachment will not be limited to shooting only. It can be use to other games that needs precise button input and control.
There will be a lot of games that have been announced which will be compatible with the Move. Play station featured games include Little Big Planet 2, Kung Fu Rider, Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, Heavy Rain, The Fight: Lights Out, EyePet, SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs, Time Crisis Rizing Storm, and Sly Collection. There are also games that will really need the Shooter like Brunswick Pro Bowling, SingStar Dance, Start The Party!, Heroes on the Move, and Sports Champions.
The new Shooting Attachment will be made available starting in fall at a retail price of €14.99, US$19.99 or 1,480 yen.
Sony has been successful in coming up with the new Playstation Move that is expected to beat the new Kinect of Microsoft. Microsoft’s project which was formerly known as Natal moniker will be arriving this November while the new Play station Move is set to have its launching slated on September.
