Now that Playstation Vita is officially announced for this year’s E3 festival, many gamers are asking more questions about its release. Not only about its exact launch date, or the list of games going to be available for it, but also the price gamers need to shell-out in order to get it.
As some of you may have noticed, since this new portable handheld-console was revealed last year as “NGP“, there’s been no conclusive reports about the cost for its games, leaving some players concerned that it might be too pricey.
As of today, a screenshot from GameStop’s online listing was unearthed, showing that the price for PS Vita games are all tagged at 40 bucks. As an example, you can see Wipeout HD, Sound Shapes and Little Deviants are posted on the screen.
Likewise, this type of pricing is something that’s still moderate to swallow unlike the previous reports we’ve heard suggesting it will be comparable to a Playstation 3 game, since Sony needs to profit more now that Vita is tagged at 249 USD (WiFi model) only; which isn’t really the case at all since it’s very likely that Sony may have already compensated all of these when it tweaked some of the unit’s specifications.
Predicted arrival for PS Vita this November.
