This battle has been here ever since PSP2 and Nintendo 3DS were conceptualized in the gamingsphere. Likewise, now that the two devices are formally unveiled, the former named as Playstation Vita ready to be sold “by the end of this year”, some players are asking what console would be suitable for them?
If you’ll ask us, it really depends on what type of games are you planning to play. I mean, if you’ll look at the titles revealed by the two companies, you can see that 3DS’s primera class roots to its revamped classics like Super Mario 3DS and Legend of Zelda Ocarina. On the other hand, Sony relies more on hardcore games that’s ported on its high-end portable console like Uncharted: Golden Abyss / Assassin’s Creed, etc.
However, it appears Sony might won the hearts of many buyers since it was announced yesterday that all of Vita games will be “Region-Free” meaning, if you’ll buy games from UK, you’ll be able to send it as a gift with your kids in Asia and let them play it; something that’s impossible to do with Nintendo 3DS games since it’s locked as well as the unit itself.
Also, it’s noteworthy to say that Nintendo’s stocks is on a slump for this year eventhough Nintendo 3DS was revealed last March. Come to think of it, you’ll soon figure out that its investors aren’t happy with 3DS’s sales performance and that’s why some are selling their stocks already. To bring more pain, the company’s stock this week is in its lowest since five years after revealing Nintendo Wii U – Ouch!
Of course, these are all speculations, but we won’t be surprised to hear news by the end of this year of how Vita will be toppling out the sales made by 3DS, if Nintendo won’t do something about its portable console for the next few months.
