If you are in the market for some motion capture stuff, then this might be good news for you. Here is an ebay sale right now for the rare prototype motion capture exoskeleton for a whopping $2,397.99.

The picture you’re seeing may remind other people of the props movie makers use for such characters like Gollum, the Na’vi, and even some Star Wars creatures. But this robotic exoskeleton is all about the Dinosaur. Specifically, this was used by the now closed company Ugobe in their Research and Development efforts for the Pleo, that Dinosaur toy that did not make kids happy and was a only a fad and did not succeed in the long run.
Based on the pictures that were made available on the eBay page selling the robotic exoskeleton, all the bells and whistles (meaning the circuits, wires and other stuff that makes it robotic) is still intact. This is easily a cheap alternative to a personal research and development effort for personal robotics. Hey, maybe you could be the next Tony Stark and this can be the basis for your new suit of armor, even if it would look like a Pleo Dinosaur, cute eyes and all.
