So apparently, we will have three types of jailbreak for your iDevices (iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4g and iPad) the other two which you already know (Limera1n and Greenpois0n) and the 3rd one will be iPhone-Dev’s Pwnage Tool – this is the same tool that you should use if you want to preserve your old baseband so you can unlock your device via UltraSnow on the next iOS version.

We would just like to clarify that if you are planning not only to jailbreak your device but to unlock it as well. You should have been using an OS older than the iOS 4.1. Musclenerd states that it’s impossible to unlock a device which has an iOS 4.1 at the moment. Hence, the only thing we can do now is to wait for the iOS 4.2 to unlock it. This is the reason why Pwnage tool is going to be release on October 17 – that is like a premise of jailbreaking it first then unlocking it by UltraSn0w once we passed that iOS 4.1 stage,
Here’s a the tweet coming from Musclenerd
For AppleTV 2G users, the goal is for PwnageTool to cover you by Funday/Sunday (but still very limited app capability)
Take note, the Pwnage Tool Jailbreak will work for iOS 4.1 devices plus the Apple TV. Although, the iPhone-Dev-Team doesn’t specifically states what model will be incorporated in this jailbreak. Hopefully, it will include iPod Touch 2G.
