Die hard gamers are in for a treat as the Rage Collector’s Pack will be released by Bethesda and GAME/Gamestation. If you grew up playing Wolfenstein, Doom and Quake, then you’d probably see the resemblance as Rage was developed by those who were responsible for designing the mentioned games.
Rage’s plot is set on the distant future wherein the planet has been transformed into a wasteland because of the asteroid impact. As for gameplay, the gamer is the sole survivor of a meteorite attack when he awakes from the Ark, a movement that froze people in order for them to rebuild the planet. In addition, developers have injected both shooting (first person shooter) and driving (gamer can collect items and upgrade his car) elements in the gameplay. Rage essentially factors in the role-playing game (RPG) element wherein gamers can customize weapons (to battle mutants which are the enemies) and do side missions.
The Rage Collector’s Pack contains a number of goodies for gamers as well as fans to enjoy. The bonuses included are the game itself, the “Making of” DVD (shows all behind the scenes in the development of Rage), comic books (two actually from Dark Horse) and Rage Anarchy Edition (includes four downloadable game items that gamer can use – double barrel shotgun, crimson elite armour, fists of rage and rat rod boggy).
This Collector’s Pack is available for pre-order and retails for £39.99.
