In case you wake-up a little bit late today, you should know that the iPhone-Dev team has finally revealed its first iOS 4.3.1 Untethered Jailbreak that’s working for most iDevices except for iPad 2, Apple TV2, iPhone 4 (Verizon / CDMA), iPhone 3G below and iPod Touch 2G version below.
The instructions and full guide are here, and it’s very simple for all those who have already jailbreak their devices before. However, just like any JB tools, there’s some imminent problems that you should be aware of.
1) This tool would cause problems if your phone was previously jailbreak or unlocked by UltraSn0w, developers said you should wait first as they will patch the UltraSn0w to be compatible with RS.
2) As a precautionary tip, we don’t recommend that you use this tool as well if you have jailbreak your device using Limera1n / Greenpois0n as this may cause some possible errors as well. Your best bet? Try waiting for Greenpois0n as it reveals its own iOS 4.3.1 JB tool – Obviously, Geohot’s Limera1n would be M.I.A ‘coz he’s still fencing with Sony’s Legal Officers.
3) There are several problems we’ve found upon searching the web about those users who pursue on Jailbreaking their Verizon iPhone 4. Like IPT said, RedSn0w 0.9.6 won’t work on Red V’s iPhone 4 a.k.a iPhone 4 CDMA. Although there’s a iOS 4.2.6 jailbreak for that via greenpois0n.
As a rule of the thumb, we advice anyone to follow the instructions carefully when proceeding with your first Jailbreak attempts. And try to look for compatibility issues first before jumping in the bandwagon. Good Luck!
