Well, that was fast!
If you’re that person who can’t live without a day using Cydia, the iPhone-Dev-Team has now revealed its working iOS 5 jailbreak for its supported devices via RedSn0w 0.9.8B1 although this one is still tethered for the moment.
Likewise, there are a lot of do’s and dont’s that you need to follow first before plunging towards this.
First and foremost, this iOS 5 Jailbreak only works for beta; more specifically, the developer IOS given by Apple this week on its WWDC keynote. Likewise, it contains tons of bugs like from 3rd party applications which is highly not recommendable for users who are waiting for the iOS 5 they’ve seen on Apple’s announcement.
Also, any users who have already unlocked their iPhone should not in any means use this JB tool since it will kill your baseband making it almost impossible to unlock it again in the future.
Lastly, this is a tethered jailbreak only. Meaning? You need to connect again with RedSn0w 0.9.8b1 everytime you need to reboot (restart) your Mac.
If you’ll ask the simple suggestion of our developers, it’s advisable that normal users should stay away from this update and wait for the official iOS 5 untethered jailbreak for its supported devices (iPod Touch 3g/4g, iPhone 3GS / 4 and iPad 1).
Got that?
