Gaming enthusiasts out there must be really excited about this upcoming science fiction first person shooter game called the Resistance 3. This game was developed and created by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, which is primarily intended for the Playstation 3. Resistance is actually one of the best-selling games ever released for the PS3. This upcoming video game is apparently the fourth installment from the popular Resistance series.
Basically, the Resistance 3 will be coming with the same gameplay mechanics at its predecessor. The weapon wheel featured in the first Resistance series will back in this upcoming game. In addition to this, the game will also come with a mixture of old and new weapons like the Bullseye, Shotgun, Auger and Carbine. All the weapons in this game are definitely upgradeable and also become more powerful as the players used them.
Resistance 3 will revolve around discharged Sentinel Joseph Capelli and his heroic survival inside the brutal Resistance world. Along the way, after leaving his family in his journey to New York City, Capelli will be meeting the remnants of humanity that was left in the aftermath of the very brutal Chimeran invasion.

This upcoming game also comes with a more organized and less clustered online competitive mode as compared with the previous game in the series. There is also a co-operative mode where the players will have the opportunity to team up and play the story mode whether online or offline. However, this game will not be featuring an 8 player co-op just like in the Resistance 2.
Aside from new upgradeable weapons and the return of the weapon wheel, this game will also come with a two-player online or split –screen co-op as well as a progressive –based multiplayer experience as well. It seems that Resistance 3 will be delivering a different level of excitement and first-person shooter game experience to all gaming enthusiast out there.
Apparently, this upcoming video game will be released in 2011 and will have its first gameplay showing at the Spike Video Game Awards to be held within this month. So watch out for it.
