Samsung Cetus i917 Rumored Specs Leaked | Release Date, Price and Review Soon!

Samsung is set to unveil a new handset powered by Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 OS and will be named as the Cetus. The name was derived after Cetus which is a name of a constellation in the sky. Apparently, some finds Samsung to have some weird obsession with the space which may be the reason why such handset was named after a constellation.

The Samsung Cetus i917 has been a subject of some spy shots which shows what this device as well as Samsung fans have to look forward to in this upcoming handset. Some rumors also gave a hint that the Cetus i917 is destined for AT&T which will feature the Windows Phone 7 and comes with stylish and elegant glossy black curved shell.

The Samsung Cetus is expected to carry the following specs:

  • 4-inch AMOLED full touchscreen with 800x 480 resolution
  • 5 megapixel camera
  • Secondary VGA front-facing camera
  • Built-in GPS
  • Bluetooth
  • Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n

Many believe that the biggest selling point of this upcoming handset will be the Windows Phone 7. Aside from this, it will also feature the basics like SMS, MMS, e-mail, instant messaging, HTML, Internet Explorer browser, and a Stereo FM radio.

Microsoft has actually confirmed that Samsung is a launch partner but as of the moment there is no definite detail yet whether this handset will have a global release or will just be a US handset in the making.

The Samsung Cetus appears to be an interesting handset to look forward to. Definitely, lots of Samsung fans out there will be excited to see this phone in the making. This handset was no secret but ever since it was always obvious that Samsung will be working with Microsoft with this phone.

As of present, Samsung has not made any official confirmation regarding its specs, price and exact launch date but the Cetus is expected to make its debut when the Windows Phone 7 launches before the end of the year. Some say that the Cetus looks exactly the same as the Galaxy S but runs Windows Phone 7.But whatever it is this handset appears to be a quite impressive phone that anybody could wish for.
