The Samsung Continuum sounds like another normal handset from the South Korean tech company. It may seem that way, but if you take a close look at the photos, ola! There’s that second screen just below the main screen. Now that makes it worthy of being noted as “not another mobile handset.”

The Samsung SCH-i400 Continuum is said to be distributed by Verizon and has the greatest possibility of being branded under the Galaxy S series. Just like others in the Galaxy S, Continuum will also be sporting the 1GHz Hummingbird processor. It also has a microSD slot, a dedicated camera button and the UI is expected to be Samsung’s TouchWiz.
Above all else, what you might be really interested about is the second screen, and what is the reason for its existence in the first place? This second screen is called the “Ticker.” It is an OLED display that will give you quick access to news and RSS feeds from different social networking sites—you can get updates from Twitter, Facebook and the like just by looking at the Ticker. The Ticker will turn on automatically once you get hold of the bottom of the phone.
Full technical data on SCH-i400 Continuum handset is yet to be disclosed. Also, there’s no definite information regarding its release date nor its price tag. But rest assured that we will have it available for you once it’s out.
