At this point, it’s getting really annoying of how Samsung keeps on delaying that ‘simple’ Froyo update for its Galaxy S phones namely: Vibrant, Epic 4G, Intercept and Fascinate. The last time we check, Intercept users got on a hodge podge of problems of bricking their phone just because Samsung-Sprint released a buggy Froyo update for that device. Needless to say, if ever there’s a thing you can guarantee with the Samsung company, it is the bitter fact that whatever it say’s official on any android update release, chances are it will be delayed or become a point of distress just because of its buggy state.
And up we go with the latest Sammy Froyo news today, giving another official statement for an Android 2.2 update for Vibrant and Fascinate; although the big caveat here is, this upgrade will only be applicable for Canadian users. So far, there’s no telling until when will this Froyo treat be available on USA. Your closest bet? Sammy is having another trouble on launching Froyo on Vibrant just because of the issues on its Kies network.
I guess even Santa can’t change the fate of our Galaxy S users here in Abraham’s Lincoln’s land, eh?
