Just recently, the information about Samsung Galaxy 2 and S5620 Monte which are yet to be officially introduced to the public by the MWC (Mobile World Congress) this February has already been leaked. According to rumor, these latest handsets will be available to the public this coming March or by the second quarter of 2010. The cost of the said advanced innovations in Samsung handheld phones remained to be a mystery but there are speculations that they will probably be at 200 dollars.
The Galaxy 2 seem like an upgraded form of its predecessor, the first Android smart phone I7500 Galaxy. The trickled information states that Samsung Galaxy 2 is powered greatly with suitable screen and more than enough storage capacity. This is said to be a sophisticated phone and a worthy competitor to Google’s Nexus One. The touch screen itself measures 3.7 inches, with AMOLED display. This Android 2.1 gadget is described to be running on a 1GHz Snapdragon processor has 32 GB of internal memory. It also has a 5 megapixel camera and a 3.5 millimeter headset jack. This Galaxy 2 is so equipped to support applications for GPS, compass, WiFi and many others.
Meanwhile, the Samsung S5620 or so called Samsung Monte is known to be a 3-inch touchscreen handset with 3G connectivity, WiFi, GPS, HSDPA support capabilities, Bluetooth, etc. It is said to run on the current technology of Samsung Electronics known as Samsung TouchWiz UI. The leaked specification of this Samsung S5620 includes Qualcomm processor, 3.5 audio jack, 200 MB of internal storage and has microSD card slot. This gadget is described as successor to the S5600 Preston but majority thinks Samsung S5620 Monte is more like a middle-rung handset.
Such are the interesting facts on the latest touchscreen handsets of Samsung. However, there is still no definite news as to which countries they will be launched.
