So after the Galaxy Ace Plus, we have another phone that belongs on the ‘dumb’ category –- sorry but it appears Samsung is saving all its big guns until we hit CES this weekend. So the name is Galaxy M (without the “Wave“) and this one has already hit Korea today.
So what will you get? A 4-inch Super AMOLED screen display that is relatively fair although not as vibrant found on its closest kin, the Galaxy R and its Super Clear LCD. It’ll be powered by the now ancient single-core 1GHz CPU popularly found on first-generation Galaxy S smartphones (way back 2010), 5 megapixel camera and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) for its platform.
If you’ll check its profile, it’s a little chubbier than most high-end Galaxy phones at 10mm packing with a metallic body similar with those Bada-powered phones we’ve seen last year. The punchline? While it appears the whole package lies on the subpar class, its 500-dollar worth of price appears to be a little too much for joes who are on a budget. Still, if you’re interested, the handset will come in three colors: Lavender Pink, Bluish black and Platinum silver. So far, there’s no telling if it’ll ever come outside the Asian country for a Western release.
