Rogers Canada is featuring its Samsung Galaxy S Glide during the upcoming holidays with its 4-inch Super AMOLED display and QWERTY keyboard.

Although less in features compared to Galaxy S II LTE, it has the performance needed by users who just want fancy-less devices in the market. Under the hood is a 1.2Ghz dual-core CPU and outside, a 1.2Mp front-facing camera and an 8Mp rear-facing camera are visible. The QWERTY slider smartphone has well spaced and big keys in addition to the QWERTY keyboard in 4 row slide-out feature. On the outer edges are buttons for menu, home, back and search functionalities.
The Galaxy-branded handset is powered by Touch Wiz UX from Samsung and runs on the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Galaxy S II has the same features but has a 4.27-inch AMOLED display, a max of 32Gb RAM and a soft QWERTY keypad. It is expected to join the mid-range phones for now even as Samsung struggled to fix all the issues relating to the release of Samsung Glyde. The company is confident that Samsung S Glide will regain consumers’ trust after the tragic experience with Samsung Glyde last year.
The Samsung Galaxy S Glide is expected to be a great rounded phone especially during the upcoming Christmas seasons when release is imminent. Detail on pricing has not been known this time.
